Jezera, the town of seafarers, fishermen and divers is located on the southeast side of the island of Murter. Jezera is secluded into a horseshoe shaped bay that is surrounded by gentle hills.
Due to its natural position, the town is not exposed to strong winds and its cove is an ideal port for ships. The town has 960 inhabitants. There are two local beaches and a promenade at the entrance to the bay (port).

Around Jezera there are numerous roads and paths through olive groves, pine forests and dense bushes which make it ideal for walks and bicycle riding on all sides of the island.
There is also organized Nordic walking that takes place. Riding through the beautiful nature of this island on donkeys or Arabian horses is organized by the Farm «Kukurin», which also has a little zoo.

In 1984. was built the ACI Marina Jezera with 220 berths, which receives every year an eco blue flag. In the marina is SAY millennium, charter with a repair shop and service center for ships and ANA – Nautical Academy and sailing school.

Jezera is also an excursion center. Fishing excursion boats set off from Jezera bay towards the nearby islands, Kornati and Krka waterfalls, surrounded by cheer, good fish and wine. It is also possible to rent smaller boats and enjoy in a tour of the small islands and bays.
