The Algarve in southern Portugal can be divided into two regions: The sandy Algarve in the east with endless sandy beaches and marshland and the rocky Algarve in the west, which is more popular with tourists. It’s even wilder on the west coast. Here you will find rocky cliffs and rarely visited dream beaches such as Praia do Amado or Praia de Odeceixe.

The Algarve is a popular travel destination all year round. In summer, many vacationers from all over the world come to the tourist resorts and enjoy the wonderful weather, with lots of sun and a light sea breeze. In spring, autumn and winter it is mainly hikers and golfers who come to the south of Portugal.
